Happy 4th of July everyone! We are staying home with our fur boy today (fireworks = Extremely anxious puppy), but the above photo was taken at the Navy Pier fireworks show two weeks ago.
It's been awhile since we've updated this blog, and this is because we don't really have any updates. Going into this process we knew that it would be a roller-coaster of emotions, patience and understanding. But now, the waiting to get picked by an expectant mother is proving to be the biggest ride throughout this process.
Up until now, the process has been a hurry-up and wait game. We've had things to do and focus on while we go through the process. There were choices that needed to be made, paperwork to be completed, classes to take, etc. We were able to focus on those things, and get everything we could do done. Now the process it out of our control as we wait for someone to choose us, and the only thing left for us to focus on is to live our life as if it could change at the drop of a dime with just a phone call, and enjoy the last bit of time as a family of two.
The unknown and waiting for decisions and choice outside of one's control is always difficult, but this process is providing us with the opportunity to practice patience and feeling comfortable with the uncomfortable. This will in no doubt help us down the line not only as parents to our future child, but as humans. We will take these lessons, and gladly wait until we get that phone call changing our lives forever.
Thank you for your continues support during this process. We really appreciate it, and look forward to the day we have more of an update <3
Happy 4th of July and stay safe out there!
